Türkiye AI Ethics Institute’s initiative covers key topics such as bias in algorithms, data privacy concerns, the impact of AI on job displacement, and the importance of responsible development, deployment, and regulation of AI technologies. In addition to these core areas, the institute also addresses the intersection of AI ethics with environmental concerns such as the climate crisis. By exploring how AI technologies can be leveraged to address climate-related challenges, the institute aims to promote responsible AI practices that contribute to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Diverse range of opinions on AI ethics and societal impacts are shared. It offers wide range of perspectives and opinions in a more informal and varied format. These insights cover topics such as the ethics of computer vision, the social context in large language model (LLM) research, the role of AI in healthcare, reflections on uncertainty in AI decision-making, key topics related to climate change, regulations on legal structures etc. Following these opinions, expert viewpoints and insights are presented subsequently offering valuable commentary on the ethical challenges and considerations surrounding artificial intelligence technologies.
